The story

Like most adult children, the founders found themselves navigating an impossible balance: jobs, kids, mortgages, and a parent living alone hundreds of miles away. The weekly call wasn't enough. The pill bottles were stacking up unfilled. The doctor's instructions weren't being remembered. And the brochure for assisted living was sitting on the kitchen counter at $7,200 a month.

We tried medical alert pendants. Mom didn't wear hers. We tried smart-home cameras. They felt like surveillance. We tried more frequent calls — but our schedules made daily impossible.

What was missing wasn't technology. It was presence. A warm voice that called every morning. A voice that remembered. A voice that noticed when something felt off and let us know — same day, not next month.

Mabel is that voice. We built her for our own parents first, then for yours.

The mission

Help every senior who wants to stay home, stay home — safely, with daily presence and family connection.

The U.S. Surgeon General has officially declared loneliness a public health crisis. 16 million Americans 65+ live alone today; 21 million are projected by 2060. And the New England Journal of Medicine recently confirmed what families already know: digital health companions can substantially extend the time fragile older adults remain at home.

We're not trying to replace human connection. We're trying to fill the spaces where human connection isn't available — between the weekly family calls, in the empty hours, on the days when no one stops by. The goal is for Mom to feel less alone.

What we believe

• The home is where most seniors want to age. Studies consistently show 90%+ prefer to stay home rather than move into a facility.
• Daily presence matters more than monthly check-ins. A 5-minute call every morning catches things a quarterly visit never will.
• AI complements human caregivers — it doesn't replace them. Family is irreplaceable. Mabel covers the gaps.
• Privacy is non-negotiable. No data sold, ever. Bank-level encryption. Family sees only what you authorize.
• Pricing should reflect value, not extract maximum margin. $30/month should mean something real, not a stripped-down upsell to the “real” tier.

What we're building toward

Today: daily check-ins, medication reminders, family alerts, the Life Story Book, the Digital Life Vault, the Home Services Helper, the safety net. Already enough to keep millions of seniors home longer.

Tomorrow: Medicare Advantage coverage so families don't pay out of pocket. Smart TV integration so Mabel becomes visible in the living room. Talking-avatar versions so the face-to-face neurochemistry of human connection is restored. Multi-language support. International expansion.
