A Daily Safety Net

A Warm Voice Every Day —
So Someone's Always Checking In.

The simplest thing that prevents most senior emergencies isn't fancy hardware — it's regular contact. Mabel calls on the schedule you set, talks, listens, and remembers. If something concerning comes up on the call, Mabel automatically places a voice call to your family contacts (up to 3, in priority order) — that's live today. Voice-acoustic distress detection (slurring, silence gaps) and direct 911 integration are still being built; you'll see them here when ready.

What Mabel does today

Daily Presence Is the Real Safety Net

Most senior emergencies don't happen in a dramatic instant. They build over days — a missed meal here, a confused conversation there, a fall that nobody hears about until the next visit. The single biggest predictor of safety isn't a panic button. It's regular human-feeling contact.

That's what Mabel does. She calls every day on a regular phone (frequency depends on your plan). She remembers what was said yesterday. She talks with your parent like a friend, not a monitor. And because the conversation is natural, your parent actually engages instead of resenting it.

For a lot of families, that alone is the safety system they were missing.

What's Live Today + What's Coming

We're actively building these features. They're not live yet — but they're where this product is going. Every one of them sits in our build queue.

☎️
Real-time family voice-call alerts
When Mabel hears something concerning during a call (a fall, sharp pain, breathing trouble), she places an automated voice call to your family contacts — up to 3 in priority order, with DTMF Press 1 to acknowledge or Press 2 to pass to the next person. Same logic fires after 3 missed scheduled calls in a row.

🎙️
Mabel listens for what was SAID — distress flagging
Mabel is trained to flag falls, sharp pain, breathing trouble, mental-health crisis, medication problems, and stroke signs from what the senior says during a call. She calls a server-side flag_concern tool that triggers the family voice cascade above.
Live today
👂
Voice-ACOUSTIC distress detection
Listens to how the senior sounds — slurred speech, silence gaps, breathlessness — not just what they say. Higher-confidence detection of strokes, falls, and acute distress.

☎️
Direct 911 dialing
Today Mabel tells the senior to dial 911 herself and stays on the line. Direct 911 integration (where Mabel places the 911 call on their behalf) is regulatory-heavy and still in research.

📋
Call logs with timestamps for medical / legal records
Conversation transcripts and timestamps are retained on our backend today; the user-facing audit-ready export with medical/legal sections is being built next.

🆘
Life Alert hardware integration
Optional integration with traditional medical-alert hardware for the panic-button moments when a phone call isn't enough. Best of both: daily presence + emergency hardware.

The honest framing

What Mabel Is — and Isn't — Today

Mabel is not a substitute for 911 or a medical-alert system today. If your parent needs an immediate panic-button safety net, a Life Alert pendant or comparable system is the right tool right now. We'll be the right tool soon.

What Mabel is today: the daily voice that catches the patterns that build into emergencies — the missed meal, the unusual sleep, the slow withdrawal, the “something's off” that families pick up on weeks before anything dramatic happens. That's the part that prevents emergencies from happening in the first place.

When the deeper safety features ship, you'll have both — daily presence and real-time emergency response. Until then, what we sell today is what's on this page.
